Taylor Swift announces surprise U.S. concert

Nearly breaking the internet is nothing new for Taylor Swift, who announced in September that she would play four U.S. stadium concerts in 2020 in lieu of world tour — something that both shocked and rattled Swifties and the general public alike.

Many have been eagerly awaiting Swift to announce more show dates or pop-up appearances to no avail, leaving those who were unable to get tickets to Swift’s Lover Fest West (at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles) or Lover Fest East (at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts) frustrated to say the least.

But now it looks like hopeful Swifties may have another shot at seeing the superstar live in 2020 — and for free!

On Sunday April 5, Swift will headline a free concert at the Centennial Olympic Park.in Atlanta during Capital One JamFest® as a part of the 2020 NCAA Men’s Final Four tournament.

“Over the years, Capital One has brought some of the most iconic artists in music to perform at Capital One JamFest, and we could not be more excited to have Taylor Swift, one of the most successful artists in history, headline this event in 2020 and the unique opportunity to offer this to fans for free,” Byron Daub, Vice President of Sponsorships and Experiential Marketing at Capital One said in a company statement.

The show will take place on the third day of the March Madness Music Festival which begins on Friday April 3rd with the AT&T Block Party.

Past headliners have included Kenny Chesney, Aerosmith and Dave Matthews Band.

Additional performers for this year’s festival will be released in the coming months.
