Well, there must not be any bad blood because she doesn’t seem to be dressing for revenge just yet — she’s dressing to hang out with her friends.

Taylor Swift stepped out for the first time in public on Monday after the news of her breakup with her boyfriend of six years, Joe Alwyn, made headlines. According to Page Six, the 12-time Grammy winner turned heads in the West Village at the Italian restaurant Via Carota with long-time collaborator and friend Jack Antonoff and his fiancee. Swifties may notice that the restaurant is just a stone’s throw away from Cornelia Street, the name of a song from her Lover album rumored to be about her ex-beau. However, fans may also want to check out the singer’s style for the occasion.

She wore a simple black off-the-shoulder top with butterfly bejeweled jeans and a sparkly handbag — because she “can still make the whole place shimmer,” of course. However, it was her shoes that really stood out. Swift paired her understated look with a modern Mary Jane heel from Sam Edelman.

The style may be a little controversial, but Mary Janes have made a comeback. Celebrities like Gigi Hadid, Sarah Jessica Parker, Amal Clooney and now Swift have stepped out in them. However, these aren’t the plain Mary Janes you remember as a kid. Swift’s Jildie Mary Jane Sling Back Heels are a little bit edgy with a chunky flared heel and a square toe. They also have a 4-inch heel but a half-inch platform, making them feel more like 3.5 inches when you wear them.

If you’ve never owned a pair, one thing you should know about Sam Edelman shoes is that they’re usually comfortable, which would make sense why Swift wore them. If you’re going to be walking the streets of NYC, slipping past all the fans and paparazzi, you want a shoe you can speed up in if you need to.

You could easily recreate Swift’s look with your glittery jeans or pair these shoes with socks and a tweed mini skirt for a more flirty and feminine feel. However, you may have to look hard to find these shoes in your size — most are already sold out on Sam Edelman’s website. Luckily, you can still find them in stock at Nordstrom and Zappos for $140. In addition to patent black leather, the shoes come in navy, brown, gold, white and a denim blue color.
