Timothée Chalamet knows his way around a suit.
The 23-year old actor has been named the best dressed male in the world by GQ and rightfully so. Chalamet is leading the new generation of red carpet stars with designers like Haider Ackermann, Louis Vuitton, and Alexander McQueen in his favor.
His styling trick? He does it himself rather than enlisting the help of a stylist.
“I don’t want to work with a stylist or anything. I’ve been following designers like Raf [Simmons], Haider Ackermann, Hedi Slimane—these guys are like rock stars. They’re artists,” the “Little Women” actor told V Man.
At a time when everyone in fashion is seemingly playing it safe, from one black suit to the next, Chalamet has come through with a refreshing approach to tailoring and has given a new definition to male suiting. From silk sash belts to a sequined harness, the “The King” star has kickstarted fearless trends for modern men.
This year, for instance, he’s embraced a slew of vivid monochromatic moments and proved that black boots are quite literally the answer to everything. He even slipped his way into Pantone’s Color of The Year months before the Classic Blue hue was announced.
Ahead, we’ve rounded up the ten most important looks Timothée Chalamet has served up in 2019. From a Louis Vuitton hoodie featuring 15,000 sequins and 3,000 crystals to an important lesson in french tucking and drop crotch Isabel Marant trousers, scroll on for the beautiful boy.
