The Texas Geodome provides stunning views of Lake Travis

If you want to experience the perfect blend of breathtaking architecture and stunning nature, you need to stay at the Texas Geodome for your next vacation!

Run by owners Daniel and Anne Nguyen, the Texas Geodome is Located on Lake Travis in Volente, Texas, and it’s the perfect vacation home for renters looking to unwind in a one-of-a-kind space tucked away in a vast, natural setting.

Built in the 90s, the 5-bedroom home features a wide-open kitchen that guests will notice immediately upon entering on the second level. “One of the things that we really love about this kitchen is this big peninsula,” Daniel says, gesturing to the massive kitchen island in the center of the room. “You can cook and have conversations with your friends and family.” Anne points out other kitchen highlights including a rare, retro refrigerator and a roomy, farmhouse-style sink.

The tour continues with the spacious dining room, which features a custom-built, 8-foot dining table and a James Bond-themed bar, inspiring guests to pour themselves a martini (shaken, not stirred of course). Daniel also points out the floor-to-ceiling fireplace, which he says is “one of the centerpieces of the house.”

The connecting living room sports a convenient TV setup with plenty of seating areas, with the highlight being a very inviting leather couch. “Warning, if you lay down on this you will take a nap,” Daniel promises In The Know. Overall, the living room is the perfect balance of modern and cozy!

The third level of the house has a smaller bedroom with incredible views, as well as the primary bedroom which has a massive, uniquely shaped window directly behind the bed. “In the morning you wake up and the sun shines light onto your face,” Anne tells In The Know. “And then you can have a nice start to the day.” The master bathroom has a large double sink, walk-in shower, and a full-sized tub. “People love to come in here, turn on the mood light, soak for a couple hours, listen to music, and relax and disconnect,” says Daniel.

Climbing the stairs to the fourth level, Daniel and Anne reveal the room that surprises guests the most: an observation deck! “This is like the tower that sits on top of the dome,” says Daniel. The deck provides 360-degree views of Lake Travis and endless tree tops. “You can come up here and disconnect from everything that’s going on downstairs if you want a quiet place to chill,” Daniel tells In The Know.

Finally, Daniel and Anne descend to the ground floor of the home, where the owners are going for a “speakeasy” vibe, with dark walls and low ceilings. According to Daniel, this is another room that’s perfect for playing board games, watching TV, or just hanging out with friends and family.

Overall, Daniel and Anne want to make sure that they offer a “unique experience” to their guests who rent their home on Airbnb. Based on the tour, it’s clear the owners are achieving their goal!
