Kendall Jenner’s street-style is mostly made up of high-end sheer tops, denim, boots and band tees. However, the 24-year-old reality TV star-turned-supermodel has one accessory she can’t help but rewear: a pair of dark mod sunglasses.
Jenner has been spotted wearing the Velvet Canyon Zou Bisou sunglasses three times in the last week while out and about, plus a number of times over the past year. She was first seen wearing them in a matching red denim set at the beginning of June, shortly followed by a nearly iconic trip to a bodega, pairing the glasses with an orange figure-hugging midi dress and crystal-embellished heeled sandals. She then wore the sunnies during NYFW and Wimbledon.
Named after the catchy French song “Zou Bisou Bisou” by Gillian Hills from the 1960s, a declaration to love and kissing, the Zou Bisou sunglasses have thick, rectangular frames in black and tortoise shell shades with an ever-so-subtle cat-eye. They also have 100 percent UV protection with custom tinted lenses. Peer over them at your brunch date or shade yourself from the paparazzi (or the sun) like a cool French girl! Their timeless shape makes them the perfect accessory for any occasion.
Velvet Canyon is the brand behind several 60s and 70s-inspired stylish frames, with a focus on sustainability. The frames are all made out of acetate, a renewable material made of wood and cotton fibers, in a solar powered studio. According to the company’s website, they also donate one percent of proceeds to charity and have pledged to reduce their use of plastic and to never use animal products.
