These Disney Zoom backdrops will hide your messy room from coworkers

Disney has launched a series of free Zoom backgrounds inspired by Disney princesses.

“Make your next video call background whatever ~you~ would like with even more Disney Princess backgrounds to choose from!” the official Disney Princess Facebook page announced. “Which one will you pick?”

With companies all over the world enacting social distancing measures, more people are working from home than ever. Even secondary school and college students have taken up remote distance learning.

Zoom is a popular app to hold video conference calls, which, at times, can be more revealing than we want them to be (let’s be honest: there are days we just don’t have the time to clean up laundry, dirty dishes and clutter). The app fortunately has a setting that allows people to use virtual backgrounds to disguise whatever they don’t want coworkers, friends, teachers or classmates to see.

There’s no better time to reveal you’re obsessed with Disney princesses in movies like “The Little Mermaid,” “Cinderella,” “Sleeping Beauty,” “Beauty and the Beast” or “Aladdin” than on a work call — OK, maybe there’s a better time, but hey, we could all use some frivolous distractions during meetings. Zoom backgrounds are the new water-cooler fodder.

The photos are pretty easy to install. Just download them onto your computer, log into your Zoom account from your desktop, and make sure your meeting settings are on “Virtual Background.” Then, upload the Disney princess wallpaper.

Now, you don’t have to worry about your respected coworkers witnessing your dad try to lure the cat off a jigsaw puzzle without upsetting him. Instead, they can peer behind you to see the mesmerizing palace from “Aladdin” or the woods surrounding the home of Snow White’s seven dwarves.
