While a good bronzer is worth its weight in gold, that doesn’t have to reflect in the price. Especially when there are plenty of affordable products that bronze, sculpt, and contour just as well as more expensive counterparts. In this episode of In The Know: Duped, host Oneika shares her favorite low-cost alternative to her favorite high-end bronzer that will leave both your complexion and bank account glowing.

Bronzers and contour palettes have come a long way in the past several years, so maintaining a sun-kissed summer glow all year round has never been easier. When it comes to bronzers, Oneika says the NARS Laguna Bronzing Cream is the “holy grail” of bronzing products, so sought-after that getting your hands on one is the cosmetic equivalent to finding a golden ticket. However, its $38 price tag makes the already coveted product even less accessible.

Fortunately, there are a number of dupes that are great substitutes for this bronzer, with Oneika’s personal favorite being the e.l.f. Cream Contour Palette in “St. Lucia.” Oneika says the shade is nearly identical to the NARS one, but at just $9, its price is an affordable departure. Not only is the contour palette easy on your wallet, but it also comes with a matching blusher which Oneika says is “perfect for those who want to wear blush and bronzer at the same time.”

Another additional feature that the contour palette boasts is that it’s cruelty-free, whereas the same can’t be said for the NARS product. Oneika also notes that the e.l.f. palette is more pigmented, while the NARS bronzer cream has a thinner and more buildable formula. “That basically means that you’re going to get more with every swipe with the e.l.f. than you would with NARS,” Oneika explains before suggesting to apply it with a “light hand and a fluffy brush,” so you’re not using too much.
With so many contour and bronzing products on the market, finding one that suits your complexion and your budget can be challenging. Fortunately, the e.l.f. palette is an inexpensive and high-quality product for guilt-free glamor that says, “I came. I saw. I contoured.”
