This couch doubles as a hidden safe

The CouchBunker is a safe cleverly disguised as a 900-pound couch. The multifunctional sofa comes complete with cushions fitted with carry straps, so you even use them as a shield.

The Texas-based Heracles Research Corp created this impressive couch. The vault is quick and easy to access — all you have to do is remove the seat cushions and open up the two key locks with your key.

The safe and couch unit together weigh about 900 pounds. The safe inside is half the size of a standard queen bed and lined with a two-hour firewall.

The sofa is fully customizable and comes in a range of fabric color options. It can even be reconfigured for boats and RVs. However, the company recommends the standard size for apartments, homes and offices. The CouchBunker will cost you a pretty penny starting at $12,149.

When Bloomberg News inquired about who purchases bulletproof sofas, Heracles founder John Adrain gave an honest answer: “It tends to be the one percent.”
