This gingerbread cookie sugar scrub takes only a minute to make

The weather is getting colder and your skin might be getting drier with it.

Exfoliation is a great way to slough away flaky skin and keep it looking vibrant and healthy. The American Academy of Dermatology states regular exfoliation helps to remove the top layer of dead skin skills which can stimulate collagen that keeps skin firm and glowing.

Luckily, In The Know’s Phoebe Zaslav has got a gingerbread cookie sugar scrub recipe that only takes a minute to make.

“It’s embarrassing that I’ve spent $30 on a scrub that looked just like this,” Phoebe stated. “Now you can make it for yourself and gift it to your friends.”

What you’ll need:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg

First, Phoebe combined all of the ingredients in a bowl and thoroughly mixed them together.

Then she opted to get a little fancy — it’s the holidays after all. She placed the scrub in a glass jar and trimmed the rim with a decorative Christmas ribbon.

“It’s really nice. It honestly smells like I am just exfoliating with gingerbread cookies but I am all about that,” Phoebe joked.
