This Amazon best-selling hair oil combats frizz and adds shine — and it smells like a luxurious perfume

Hair oils are great for taming frizz and adding shine. However, OUAI does that and more. The brand’s oil also acts as a heat protectant, sealing split ends for healthier-looking ‘do. Oh yeah, and it smells like an incredibly luxurious perfume.

More than 2,000 Amazon shoppers give it 5 out of 5 stars and rave about its “amazing smell.”

It smells so good! It’s very soft and floral,” wrote one reviewer. “I love it so much. It defrizzes well without making your hair look greasy too! It’s a little pricey but when you consider how long it will last I’d say it’s worth it!”

This is an amazing oil,” wrote another. “It made my curls look fuller and so shiny! Very impressed, and the scent is lovely!”

If you’re new to OUAI, its founder is celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin — you may have seen her on Keeping Up with the Kardashians or on Chrissy Teigen’s Instagram. I’ve fallen in love with every OUAI product I’ve tried, from its shampoo to its wave spray, but one of my favorites has to be its leave-in conditioner. However, most recently, I tried its Hair Oil, and I’m in love.

The vegan hair oil contains a blend of African galanga, ama and Asian borage oils. To be fair, I’m not a beauty expert, so I have never heard of most of these, but I can tell you that combined, they make my hair feel incredibly soft.

Like all of OUAI’s products, it also has a signature scent — this one is called Rue St. Honoré. It has notes of violet, gardenia, ylang ylang and white music for a floral fragrance. Run it through your hair, and you’ll definitely receive compliments (I have, at least).

To use it, start with one small pump and warm it up in your hands. You can apply it on wet or dry hair, focusing on the hair starting at your eye line and working your way down (FYI, avoid your roots). Comb through and style however you want. I like to apply this to the ends of my hair after styling, but keep in mind that a little goes a long way.

You can get a 1.5-ounce bottle of the Hair Oil for $30 or go with the smaller travel size for $16 on the OUAI website. While the brand may be a tad pricier than the stuff you’d find at the drugstore, it lasts a while, and the results are definitely worth it.
