For a fun bachelorette getaway filled with vintage charm and plenty of Instagrammable corners, think pink and book a stay down south at the Boho Rosa House!
Run by Stephen Ramos, the Boho Rosa House is located in historic downtown Charleston, South Carolina, close to the city’s vibrant nightlife and 3 beaches, making it the perfect vacation rental for a fun-filled bachelorette weekend.
Built in 1910, the 5-bedroom house can accommodate up to 14 people and features a spacious layout with a colorful and relaxing vibe, befitting its name as a pink house with bohemian-inspired interiors. Ramos believes the house’s airy and laid-back design lends itself well to bachelorette parties. “There’s an Instagram moment around every corner,” Ramos says.
“The main feature of the exterior of the house is the double front porch,” Ramos explains, addressing the classic Southern architecture. The large porches are perfect for outdoor entertaining, a Charleston standard, thanks to the warm climate.
Upon entry to the house, a long hallway leads guests to the main living area. “This is really the main gathering point for the house,” Ramos tells In The Know, gesturing around the multi-functional room. “It’s wide open with a living space, dining room, full kitchen, and coffee station.”
Ramos continues the tour by showing how various decorations pay homage to Charleston’s history and culture. A wall covered in woven baskets is a nod to the city’s basket-making history, while a framed piece of the home’s original wallpaper in the shape of Charleston hangs on the opposite wall.
Moving on to the kitchen area, Ramos notes how the space can comfortably accommodate large groups, especially with a fully stocked coffee station with vintage appliances in theme with the home’s aesthetic.
Right outside the kitchen is a lush patio. In addition to being a perfect outdoor hangout spot, the patio also features a colorful mural to inspire more social media moments. Back inside, Ramos reveals the house’s sleeping accommodations.
The main floor boasts two bedrooms: a bunk room and a room with two queen beds, which also has a gorgeous tiled fireplace—one of four in the whole house.
On the second floor of the house are three king bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom. One of the king bedrooms even has its own patio, where guests can hang out and take in the vistas with a glass of lemonade.
Last but not least is the main bathroom, which Ramos refers to as “the main event of the house” because of its unusual and surprising layout. Unlike regular bathrooms, this one has a large 7-foot by 7-foot shower with a soaker tub inside of it.
Whether you’re a bachelorette party or just a group wanting to kick back in Charleston, the Boho Rosa House will have you returning home from vacation with amazing memories and a pair of rose-colored glasses.
