Lyst, the global fashion search platform, is keeping track of how the current pandemic is affecting current online fashion searches — and unsurprisingly, tie-dye is one trend that’s definitely on the rise.

According to Lyst’s “‘Stay At Home’ Searches” live data blog, “searches for ‘tie-dye sweats’ and ‘tie-dye sweatsuits’ have collectively risen 42 percent over the last seven days. Searches for sweats are up 104 percent month-on-month while searches for sweatpants and sweatshirts are up 25 percent and 14 percent week-on-week respectively.”

Brands and retailers have also caught on to the trend, with the likes of Free People, Agolde, Urban Outfitters and Joe’s Jeans all selling their own versions of the perfect tie-dye sweatshirt. Even celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Sofia Richie and Halsey have been rocking technicolor styles as of late.
