It’s hard to say what’s rising faster right now: the temperatures outside or our excitement levels for long, sunny days at the beach.
We’re all about protecting our skin, so this means it’s also time to stock back up on SPF. Read on for the five sunscreens TikTok loves most this season. We’ll take one of each!
1. EltaMD UV Daily Tinted Broad-Spectrum SPF 40, $38

This SPF is part of Hailey Bieber’s everyday skin prep; need we say more? EltaMD’s tinted sunscreen has received tons of attention ever since the star posted about it in a daily morning routine TikTok — and, honestly, it’s worth the hype. TikTok user @bloves.beauty has the details: “As soon as I put it on my skin, it just instantly blended in and ended up matching my neck really well. It’s also so lightweight and not sticky or heavy like a lot of tinted mineral sunscreens are, and it just gives you this healthy, radiant glow.”
The two-in-one product is as effective as it is convenient. Its first ingredient is zinc oxide, which is essential for blocking the most harmful UV rays and protecting your skin from premature aging.
2. Vacation Classic Whip SPF 30 Sunscreen Mousse, $22

The Vacation Sunscreen Mousse has the distinction of being the first (and only) SPF we’ve ever described as “fun.” Its draw, of course, is the incredibly light formula that’s dispensed just like whipped cream. But this sunscreen is more than just a gimmick. Packed with coconut oil, aloe vera, banana extract, shea oil and vitamin E, it’s incredibly hydrating. Your skin will feel totally nourished even after an entire day out in the sun. As TikTok user @rocio.roses raved, “Once blended out, this looks so pretty. Plus, it smells amazing, and it’s so freaking fun. 10 out of 10.”
3. Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen, $48

Known for leaving virtually no trace of its existence, Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen is the original viral SPF. The gel formula is known for being incredibly light, having no scent and applying invisibly. On TikTok, @laviniarusanda described the unique experience: “It feels like some type of face primer mixed with, like, petroleum jelly… This went on literally clear. There is no sign of any white cast or greasiness in this at all. I just found a new favorite chemical sunscreen.”
Plus, Unseen Sunscreen is just as effective as a primer as it is an SPF, making it the ideal sun protection choice for when you want your face to look flawless.
4. La Roche-Posay Anthelios Mineral Sunscreen, $36.99

If products tend to easily irritate you, go for the SPF that was literally created for sensitive skin. The broad-spectrum Anthelios Sunscreen is 100% mineral based and full of zinc oxide and titanium dioxide for maximum UV defense. It’s a great option when you’ll be spending some serious time outside, with long-lasting protection and resistance to sweat, sand and water. We also love the super lightweight feel and matte finish that creates no greasiness whatsoever. As TikTok user @tosinolaniyi aptly puts it, “The La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF 50 is that girl. She’s smooth, she’s silky, and she doesn’t leave a white cast.”
5. Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun, $18

There might not be any SPF getting more attention on TikTok right now than the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun. The viral Korean product contains 30% rice and grain fermented extracts, which are packed with vitamins and minerals to keep your skin looking and feeling great. It also provides SPF 50 PA++++ protection from UV rays.
TikTok user @imhannahcho calls it “Literally the BEST sunscreen I’ve ever tried.” She also says, “It works better than my actual moisturizers… It doesn’t even feel like sunscreen. It’s so watery, it just melts right into my skin. It’s very very hydrating.” As an added bonus, Relief Sun is vegan, organic and cruelty-free. It’s also one of the most affordable viral sunscreen options we’ve seen.
