TikTok trend asks people to prove how loyal their boyfriends are

A new and hilarious TikTok trend has users proving how loyal their boyfriends are without explicitly explaining their faithfulness.

On Dec. 31, TikTok user @dianasaurusrex124 asked her viewers to record their boyfriends and show how committed they are.

“Tell me how you know your boyfriend won’t cheat on you without telling me how you know your boyfriend won’t cheat on you,” she says.

She then goes first, recording her boyfriend enthusiastically playing a Monopoly video game and landing on a red square.

“I love the reds,” he says, without even looking at her.

The TikToker’s clip, which has received over 287,000 likes, prompted more than 6,000 comments — many from users who eagerly shared their own experiences with their boyfriends.

“He was excited for me to put my fingerprint in his new phone,” one wrote of her partner.

“He purchased a record made for plants and plays it for his houseplants every morning and night,” a second wrote of hers.

The video also sparked a number of videos in which TikTok users simply showed what their boyfriends did during their spare time. In one clip, for instance, user @poorandhungry records her boyfriend excitedly unpacking multiple sets of Pokémon cards.

“I got some Pokémon cards from GameStop and then I went to the store and they had old ‘Roaring Skies’ [a Pokémon expansion pack],” the boyfriend says.

After @poorandhungry pans over to a whiteboard with a list of Pokémon cards, she asks her boyfriend how many “Roaring Skies” packs he got. In true “fanboy” mode, he doesn’t hesitate to respond.

“Like 55 because they don’t make these anymore!” he says.

The clip has similarly gone viral, garnering more than 15.6 million views and a whole lot of comments.

“THIS IS SO PURE WOW,” one person wrote.

“Oh he’s loyal loyal,” another added.

“This is the best kind of guy,” a third commented.

In another TikTok, user @jennashortforjenna records her boyfriend cleaning the dishes while mimicking Kermit the Frog.

“Hi all, Kermit the Frog here and today we are cleaning up the kitchen,” he says, wearing a fuzzy, black jacket. “We are going to start with the dishes.”
