Clericuzio goes by @flipdaddie on TikTok where she has over 269,000 followers. While some DIY projects can look a bit crafty, the handywoman’s furniture transformations are unbelievable. Working from her parents’ basement, Clericuzio takes secondhand finds and makes them look like something you’d see at Anthropologie or West Elm.
“I show before and after transformations of old outdated furniture into beautiful, modern furniture. Also, I make videos showing the step-by-step process of how I transform furniture to look like they are brand name,” Clericuzio told Newsflare about her TikToks.
For one project, she took a set of rolling end tables she got for $30 on Facebook Marketplace, sanded them down and painted them black. She replaced the wheels with updated legs. The finished table looked brand new.
She filled in the brown nightstand’s carvings with wood filler to even out the surface. Then she sanded down the entire piece, removed the drawer and any unnecessary hardware. Clericuzio painted the furniture a similar blue and spray painted the hinges gold. She also added gold handles and legs. The end result was a solid dupe for the expensive Anthropologie nightstand.
Not only is Clericuzio saving money, she’s saving the environment along with it!
