When it comes to console gaming, few brands are as iconic as Nintendo. Whether it was the Nintendo Entertainment System, the classic N64 or the groundbreaking Wii, Nintendo, along with their “super” popular arsenal of characters and games, has been leading the way for gaming consoles since the 1980s.

In this episode of Game On, host DJ Steph sits down with streamer and social media star, Kiera Please (@kieraplease), to discuss how Nintendo is keeping their tradition of excellence alive with the Nintendo Switch, sharing some of their favorite accessories and games that’ll help you make the most out of the versatile console.

DJ Steph and Kiera start things off by shouting out some of their favorite games, including classics like Mario Party and Mario Kart. “I’m not the best racer but I got heart,” shares Kiera. For gamers looking for that green light to jump back into Mario Kart, the Switch and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Bundle is a great option. The bundle includes a Switch console, a dock, two Joy Con controllers (including straps and grips), an HDMI cable, an AC adapter and a download code for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

If you’re tired of falling off Rainbow Road and you want to jump into another Nintendo classic, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is another tentpole game that’s bigger and better than ever on the Switch. DJ Steph and Kiera, who both coincidentally play as Kirby, love that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate lets you play locally or online, while mastering new and old techniques with a wide cast of characters.

Once you have your Switch—and your favorite games—you’ll want to make sure it’s protected on the go. DJ Steph recommends the Orzly Carry Case, which has a protective shell that will “keep your device protected” while the “soft inner material keeps your device free from scratches.”

Many gamers grew up with Nintendo’s impressive lineup of consoles and games, and with the Nintendo Switch as popular as it is, it’s clear that the legendary brand isn’t planning on hitting the pause button anytime soon.
