Mom builds an office space for her toddler who loves helping her with work

This mom on TikTok created an “office space” for her toddler (who loves to “help” her work) using extra items lying around the house, and it’s a brilliant way to keep kids entertained and give parents a break.

TikToker Megan Elizabeth (@mamimshouse) is a mom and vlogger who posts parenting hacks and clips with her husband and children. Recently, Elizabeth shared a video where she creates an office space for her toddler, Hazel, who loves “working” alongside her, and it’s a total parenting game changer!

The clip, captioned, “When you have a toddler who always wants to ‘help’ you work,” begins with a shot of a basic white desk with some colorful foam climbing blocks underneath it.

Using her mastery of TikTok editing, Elizabeth creates a fun montage of the office launch, naturally starting with an old mouse and keyboard

A notepad and a cup filled with colorful markers pop up to the keyboard’s left, followed by a computer screen printed on a piece of paper taped to the wall above the desk with “Hazel’s Work Space!” written on it.

Thanks to the addition of an iPad with its screen on the calculator setting, Hazel is ready to start crunching numbers. Of course, every office space needs to look inviting, so Elizabeth includes a vase of flowers, Hazel’s water bottle, and sunglasses.

Last but not least, Elizabeth tops the desk off with a lamp and replaces the foam climbing blocks with a pale blue stool. The proverbial icing on the cake for the office space is Hazel’s clear plastic purse full of odds and ends placed on the far right of the desk.

The video closes with a shot of Hazel pressing a few numbers on the iPad before returning to typing up any briefs, facts, or figures for her big-time “job.”

Thanks to her new corner office, Hazel is well on her way to becoming a CEO.
