Toddler upset with mom because his cheeseburger ‘broke’

TikTok mom Ericka Lauren (@elauren_h) shared the hilarious moment her toddler started crying because he thought his cheeseburger “broke!”

Lauren is a TikToker and parent of three adorable toddlers, including twin boys. In a recent video, Lauren shared the hilarious moment one of her twin toddlers, Grayson, felt some big feelings after she cut his cheeseburger into bite-size pieces. Poor Grayson thought the cheeseburger “broke!”

The video begins with a shot of Grayson sitting at the family’s dining room table. In front of the toddler on the table sits a fast food cheeseburger and a handful of French fries. Grayson looks mournfully down at the cheeseburger, a pout on his face. He appears to be trying to hold back tears.

After a moment, Grayson lets out a truly heartbreaking sob.

“Oh, honey,” Lauren says, trying to comfort the disconsolate toddler. Then she zooms in on the cheeseburger, to reveal that it has been cut into quarters.

“It’s OK, Grayson,” Lauren says, still trying to comfort the toddler but audibly on the verge of laughter. “Tell Daddy why you’re crying.”

Grayson stops crying for long enough to point at the cheeseburger.

“My cheeseburger broke,” he explains.

After a moment of stunned silence, Grayson’s dad can be heard asking, “Mom, can you put it back together for him?”

Lauren points the camera back at the burger, which despite having been cut into quarters, has been put back together into a burger shape. “That’s the best I can do,” Lauren says apologetically as the video ends.

“I don’t blame him.”

Viewers commiserated with both the distraught toddler and his perplexed mom.

“I don’t blame him. I don’t like my burger cut,” one viewer commented.

“I do not miss having toddlers. Temper tantrums over the most random [stuff],” another parent commented.

“Why’d you even do that?” another TikToker questioned.

To which Ericka responded, “I had no idea he’d react like that!”

Next time, Ericka will know better than to “break” Grayson’s cheeseburger
