As a beauty editor, one of my many jobs is to try the latest products to hit the market. However, I have to admit that I am a woman of habit when it comes to my daily routine. I like what I like, and I stick with products I know work for me. It takes a special release to convince me to change my ways.
Enter the new Too Faced Born This Way Foundation, which promises a 24-hour finish. When I first heard of the product — and its claims — I had to give it a shot.
The formula’s highlighted ingredients include:
- Coconut Water: Aids in delicately replenishing skin’s moisture levels.
- Alpine Rose: Empowers skin’s health and resilience.
- Hyaluronic Acid: Gives a smoother, more youthful appearance.
To add some context, I have oily-combination skin with an aggressive T-zone. It’s the reason why I swear by setting powders and try to go for as little makeup as possible when I can, especially in the summer.
My Face After Four Hours Of Wear
To put it plain and simple, this is my new favorite foundation. It really is long-wearing, as promised. Even after having a full face on for 10-plus hours, not once did I have to touch up my makeup or fix any spots where the foundation broke up.
The foundation can be applied sheer, which is perfect for Zoom meetings when you just want a little something. But you can also build it up for more coverage when you (finally) leave your house.
Though the product says it has a matte finish, it’s more of a dewy matte in my opinion. And although I mentally crashed before I hit 24 hours of wear, I can guarantee that you will get a minimum of 14 hour of wear without touch-ups. Add a setting powder and a bit of blush, and I know this product would have made it the entire 24 hours.
My Face After 14 Hours Of Wear (And A Mid-Day Nap)
I know makeup products above $20 can feel a bit tight on the budget. But depending on how you wear it and how you work with the product, you will find that you can get so much bang for your buck with this foundation.
