2020 has, for many of us, led us to make purchases we likely didn’t need and, in a few rarer cases, some that we didn’t know we needed. For me, at the top of the year, I made one of my favorite purchases that I now can’t live without: this Aukey touch sensor table lamp.

While most standard table lamps feature pull-cord switches or knobs that can only be reached from inside or around the device, this lamp stood out being quite the opposite. Making this as simple as humanly possible to use, the Aukey touch lamp requires just the tap of a finger to operate.

Recently updated in 2020, this lamp emits a soft warm light with three intensity levels. Simply tap the metal base once, twice or three times to display your desired level of brightness. Though small, this lamp packs a punch as the third level of brightness can easily illuminate a small room.

For those who enjoy the ambiance of multicolor bulbs, this lamp can also emit a light show. To enable this feature, gently rest your finger on the vertical sensor located below the brand title for a few seconds. The lamp will then change colors in a gradient approach (transitioning from yellow to orange to red, and so on).

The Aukey Touch Sensor Table Lamp is perfect for use on a nightstand or desk and comes in five colors and two sizes (medium and large).

Also, with over 18,000 reviews on Amazon and an overall customer rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars, it’s clearly a winner among shoppers.

One five-star reviewer praised its “compact and versatile” size and function while another stressed that it comes “with several options.”

The only con a few reviewers shared is that the brightness cannot be adjusted for the multicolor function. However, this was not a dealbreaker for shoppers.
