Finally, some good news in this weary world.
On August 18, Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) announced it will be rolling out a brand new cookie for the upcoming 2021 Girl Scout Cookie season — meet Toast-Yay!™
Toast-Yay!™ is a French toast–inspired cookie dipped in a creamy, delicious icing that is full of flavor in every bite. Even though I only tried the cookie for the first time this morning, it stills tastes oddly full of nostalgia in the most amazing way, just like all Girl Scout cookies do.
When Girl Scout cookie season returns in January, Toast-Yay!® will be available in select markets alongside fan favorites like Thin Mints®, Samoas®/Caramel deLites® and of course, my controversial favorites, Trefoils® (they’re just better than Thin Mints®, and that’s the final word.)
Customers who are not looking to leave home amid the pandemic will thankfully still be able to get their mitts on some Toast-Yay!® directly via the Digital Cookie® and Smart Cookie online platforms. And, as if ordering Girl Scout cookies wasn’t sweet enough on its own, GSUSA is also offering the opportunity for customers to donate the beloved treats to first responders, volunteers and other local causes through a new national online platform, Girl Scout Cookie Care.
With every sale, the Girl Scout Cookie Program invests in girls’ futures, teaching them how to think like entrepreneurs as they run their own small businesses and learn skills like goal setting, people skills, and decision making — which are imperative for any leadership role.
Although the start of cookie season is recognized nationally in January, timing and product availability vary locally, so contact your local council for more information.
