If you’re redecorating your home or moving into a new one, you may be on the hunt for new furniture. However, since the beginning of 2020, one sofa in particular has gained popularity among influencers: Restoration Hardware’s Cloud Sofa. The sofa — meant to feel as soft as a cloud — is light, fluffy and totally customizable when it comes to colors and size. However, it also starts at $5,695 for a simple two-seater. For a small sectional, you’re looking at around $15,400.
Nonetheless, if you like the look of the famed Cloud Sofa but want to save some money (OK, a lot of money), there are plenty of copycats out there. However, none are as great as the Valyōu Feathers Sectional.
The Feathers Sectional features HD memory foam and a fiber blend to make it “sensationally soft.” According to the brand, it is “118% softer than a regular sofa (tested against 13 sofas that claimed to be soft in December 2019).”

The Feathers Sectional comes in four sizes — 88 inches, 110 inches, 142 inches and 170 inches — and you can choose whether the chaise is on the left or right side. Plus, while it regularly starts at $4,200, it’s currently on sale for at least 50% off in all sizes. You can get the 88-inch sectional for $1,499.95 and the largest 170-inch size for $2,499.95.
But if softness and price aren’t the only things on your checklist, the Feathers Sofa is also made with water-resistant, stain-proof fabric that comes in light beige or gray. The cushion covers are removable and machine washable. Needless to say, you won’t have an internal freak-out whenever someone walks near it with a glass of red wine.
Keep in mind that due to the pandemic, many home stores are experiencing supply chain issues and lumber shortages, which are affecting inventory. Some stores aren’t shipping sofas for months! As of writing in April 2022, the Restoration Hardware Cloud Sofa is set to be delivered in October 2022.
Comparatively, Valyōu is shipping fast — you could have your Feathers Sectional by late May or early June 2022, depending on where you live and the size you choose.
Of course, the main downside is that Valyōu doesn’t have any showrooms for testing its sofa out yourself. It’s strictly an online store. However, the sofa does come with a warranty, and according to the reviews, everything checks out.
“We get so many compliments on our sofa,” wrote one reviewer. “It is perfect for our space. We were worried about the height being low, but it is actually perfect and super comfortable. We love this brand!”
“Love the couch! The couch is beautiful and has a very sturdy construction,” wrote another reviewer. “It’s nice for lounging and can even act as a spare bed for smaller kids. It is low. Much lower than I thought. It is also not one that is supportive if you have lower back pain like I do. [However], lounging is what this one is great for. Delivery was swift, and the delivery guys were great as well.”
Needless to say, you can trust that it’s a great couch at a great price.
