Watch an excavator do the ‘Toosie Slide’ challenge

An excavator operator took the “Toosie Slide” challenge to a new level.

Drake’s popular social media dance craze was probably never intended for heavy equipment. But an operator named Jay had other plans when he created a viral TikTok video

“CEO of making equipment dance. Y’all doing it wrong,” Jay wrote in the caption, adding a laughing emoji for good measure.

In the video, Jay starts off lip-syncing the lyrics to the hit song which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. But when the chorus drops, the camera cuts to Jay manning the excavator.

Jay smoothly maneuvers the excavator to follow the song’s commands. When Drake sings, “right foot up,” the massive equipment tilts on its left wheel. When the rapper says, “left foot slide,” the excavator swerves to the left. When he sings “left foot up,” the excavator tilts on its right wheel. When Drake sings “right foot slide,” the excavator shifts to the right.

The dancing excavator video received 680,000 views on TikTok making Jay a stiff competitor in the “Toosie Slide” challenge.

Members of the heavy equipment community chimed in with glee at the viral video

“It’s always cool seeing other operators doing this. My dad does it when I see him,” one TikTok user wrote.

“As a future heavy equipment operator, I respect this. Although I don’t think that’s OSHA approved,” one user joked, referring to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.

“This is why we gotta love each other every day, man. People out here just being people. I love this,” another user wrote.
