Women supporting women? That’s what we like to see.
Comedian Jenny Yang sat down with In The Know for a round of “I Wanna Be Like Her,” where she explained why she admires a bunch of cool ladies, from Gabrielle Union to Billie Eilish.
“Honestly, I just want to hang out in the bottoms of her huge jeans,” Yang quipped of Eilish. “Like underneath one of the legs, I’ll just hang out down there.”
But really: “I want to be like Billie Eilish because she’s so cool and mysterious, and I’m not,” Yang said. “I’m like the opposite of cool! I care too much.”
The comic is also a major fan of 20-year-old “Black-ish” star Yara Shahidi.
“She’s so knowledgeable about her identity and her cultures,” Yang said of Shahidi, whose father immigrated from Iran and whose mother is Black and Native American. “I love that she uses her platform and beauty and grace to get people engaged in caring more about other people’s cultures.”
