Lizzo tries the TikTok-famous watermelon and mustard recipe

TikTok is obsessed with a bold new recipe: watermelon and yellow mustard.

The viral treat has people wondering if it’s “bussin” or “disgusting.” Grammy-winning singer and recent-veganLizzo decided to try the unusual combo after spotting it on TikTok, and she had the best reaction.

What does “bussin” mean?

Bussin is an adjective that describes something that’s “really good,” according to Urban Dictionary.

So when TikTok asks, “Is it bussin or is it disgusting?” they’re asking if something tastes good or gross.

Lizzo is known for taste-testing vegan recipes on TikTok

Besides dropping hits like “Truth Hurts,” winning Grammys and rocking crochet bikinis, Lizzo is also a connoisseur of viral vegan recipes. In 2020, Lizzo announced she was transitioning into a vegan diet.

Lizzo tried the watermelon and mustard TikTok trend

TikTok users like @yayayayummy are singing the praises of watermelon and French’s yellow mustard.

“It’s so tangy, it’s so vinegary and it matches so well with the watermelon’s sweet juiciness,” @yayayayummy said in a video.

Lizzo stitched @yayayayummy’s video to conduct her own taste test.

“Welcome to ‘Is it Bussin’ or Is it Disgusting?'” Lizzo announced. “Alright, I’ve been seeing this s*** on the internet.”

Lizzo cut up a watermelon into sections, squeezed some yellow mustard onto a slice and took a bite. She made a confused face, then proceed to take another bite of watermelon with mustard.

“I don’t understand,” she said. “Huh?”

Then she took another bite before the video cut off.

“I ended up just eating it with Tajin,” Lizzo wrote in the caption.

The video racked up over 18.6 million views on TikTok.

“But was it bussin?” someone asked

“I just ran to my fridge and it’s soooo good,” another said

“Why’d you make the disgusted face but keep eating it?” a user commented
