Wendy’s-flavored Pringles are officially a thing, and social media is confused

A Wendy’s Pringles flavor is finally hitting stores, and fast-food fans don’t know what to think.

The special-edition chips, released late last month, are inspired by the Wendy’s Spicy Chicken Sandwich. In some ways, it’s yet another entry in the longstanding chicken sandwich wars.

Pringles’ announcement was good timing for the In The Know team, considering we had just taste-tested almost every flavor available. That said, we couldn’t get our hands on the Wendy’s flavor, which is only available for a limited time.

But it might be a good thing that we never got a chance to try them. At least, that’s the case if you ask some very unhappy Twitter users.

“This sounds like a bad idea,” one user tweeted.

“When people ask, ‘Have we gone too far?’ I’m showing them this,” another wrote.

On the flip side, others seemed blown away by the chips. One Twitter user even shared a photo of himself kissing the can.

The divisive reaction is really nothing new. When it comes to viral snack foods — whether that’s Hot Cheetos mac and cheese, mayo-flavored ice cream or Supreme-branded Oreos — social media is always going to have a strong opinion.
