Hero is the brand behind the beloved Mighty Patch acne patch that “visibly flattens and pulls gunk out of pimples overnight.” These medical-grade hydrocolloid patches are a staple in makeup bags around the world (including this editor’s!). So it shouldn’t be a surprise that Hero’s latest launch, Mighty Patch Nose, sold out on Amazon in under six hours.
Unlike those classic strips made of woven material and coated in adhesive, Mighty Patch Nose is made of the same hydrocolloid, aka “a naturally fluid-absorbing gel that traps oil and pimple gunk like a sponge,” as Hero’s original pimple patches. Since hydrocolloid is flexible and non-irritating, you won’t have to rip off a hardened pore strip and risk damaging your skin!
Mighty Patch Nose, $17.99
According to the brand, each nose patch “gently absorbs gunk in six to eight hours, so your nose looks clearer overnight — without irritating skin.” And using them couldn’t be easier (or more painless!).
To apply Mighty Patch Nose, begin with clean, dry skin and place the patch on your nose, starting at the center. Then work your way down the sides. Once it’s on comfortably, leave the strip on overnight and then gently peel it off in the morning. You’ll know it worked thanks to the white patches that show where the product collected oil, bacteria and grime from your nose. FWIW — hydrocolloid works best on whiteheads.
Pro tip: Hero suggests you exfoliate your nose before applying the patch and wait at least six hours before doing a second patch.
Each box of Mighty Patch Nose contains ten patches and retails for $17.99. If you want to give this must-have a try, you’re in luck because the patches are back in stock on Hero’s website as well as on Amazon!
