YouTuber-turned-boxer Logan Paul has accepted a fight with Whindersson Nunes. So who is the Brazillian star gearing up to go head-to-head with Paul?
Paul has fought the influencer KSI and decorated boxer Floyd Mayweather. This time around, Nunes has challenged Paul to match in the ring. Like Paul, Nunes is also a popular YouTuber as well as a singer and comedian. The two are going to duke it out over a spat on social media.
Who is Whindersson Nunes?
Nunes is a comedian, lifestyle vlogger and singer. He was born on Jan. 5, 1995, in Palmeira do Piaul, Brazil. Nunes decided to become a content creator when he was 15 years old.
He currently has 43.5 million YouTube subscribers, 20 million TikTok followers, 23.9 million Twitter followers and 56.9 million Instagram subscribers.
Why is Whindersson Nunes fighting Jake Paul?
In 2022, Nunes had his first foray into boxing when he fought the 46-year-old former world boxing champion Acelino Popo Freitas for a celebrity boxing match in Brazil. The face-off resulted in a draw.
Soon after, when Nunes felt Paul had insulted Freitas on social media, he challenged Paul to a fight on Twitter.
Paul told Nunes he accepted the challege in Portuguese on Twitter. Nunes then replied, “Let’s do it.”
