The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are working from home, too. They reached out to students and teachers at a school in the U.K. with a heartwarming video chat.
“Ah, great photo. Well done, it’s brilliant,” Kate said in response to one child’s painting of his mom, who works for the National Health Service. “I agree you should be very proud of her, they’re doing an amazing job — all the NHS workers — so well done, you.”
The royal couple also spoke to the school’s staff about the difficulties of teaching through a global crisis, thanking them for their service.
“It must be such a relief for all the parents who are key workers to know … they’ve got a safe place for them to be,” Kate said.
To close out the call, William and Kate exchanged goodbyes with the staff, who wished them a happy Easter.
“There’ll be a lot of chocolate being eaten here, that’s for sure,” William replied.
