While self-isolating, a woman tried to groom her Pomeranian and failed horribly.
On April 13, Hermione Olivia, founder of jewelry line Atelier Romy, took to Instagram to share before-and-after photos of her dog Mashi. The first photo shows the dog in its graceful state. The second, however, shows a seemingly unhappy Mashi following a failed grooming attempt.
“Take it from @bossmash and wait until the professionals are back,” Olivia wrote.
The Pom almost immediately became a viral sensation — Olivia’s post has since received over 3,500 likes and more than 1,000 comments.
“I just spit out my smoothie when I swiped the pic!!” one woman wrote.
“That is one of the funniest things I have seen in a long time!!!” another commented.
“I needed this laugh!!!” a third added. “Thanks for posting!”
According to PETA, dog owners should exercise caution when grooming their pets. Owners should find a safe and well-lit place and use proper dog-grooming equipment. Long-haired or double-coated canine breeds, in particular, require extra attention. In addition, the organization warns against rushing the grooming process, using scented shampoo and bathing dogs too often.
