Broadway may be shut down, but thankfully, the internet isn’t.
Theater fans might have been heartbroken by the news that all of Broadway’s shows would be shut down through at least April 12 — but, as always, the show must go on.
The service features live-recorded performances from both Broadway and London’s West End, with its selection including shows for every type of theater obsessive.
There are plenty of classics, such as “Cats,” “The Sound of Music” and “The Phantom of the Opera,” but also several more modern options, too. For example, users can stream performances of “Kinky Boots” and “Brokeback Mountain: The Opera.”
BroadwayHD also features ballets, movies and documentaries, each of which are sorted in a Netflix-style interface with categories for dramas, foreign and “critically acclaimed” works. Naturally, there’s also an entire section dedicated to Shakespeare.
